9ooh i'd love to give that a go but i dont have my dictionary cos i'm at work, lol.

ill try this bit though:

one of my favourite meals is roast salmon with patatoes. with this i usually love to drink either an elderflower presse drink or the usual cola. i hate eating beef. i detest the taste.
a special dish that my mum prepares is noodle soup inside a basket made from bread.

un de mon repas prefere est le roti saumon avec des pommes de terre. Avec ca {usually} j'aime boire {either} un "elderflower pressie" boisson ou le coca. Je deteste manager du beof. Je detese le goute.

*shouldn't it be 'de' because it's negative?

La routine des weekend est plutфt diffйrente de la routine de la semaine. Ma famille et moi sommes beaucoup plus relaxйs et pas stressй comme nous le sommes durant la semaine.
La grande diffйrence est l'heure а laquelle nous nous rйveillons а la maison. Le weekend ma famille se lиve plus tard qu'ils ne le font la semaine. Nous prenons notre petit dйjeuner plus tard et donc aussi notre dйjeuner ainsi de suite...

Chez moi, nous cuisinons diffйrents plats. Cela va de l'Italien au Chinois. Habituellement nous cuisinons chacun notre tour mais mes parents nous encourage, nous les enfants, а cuisinй car ils pensent que c'est trиs important pour les enfants d'aprendre comment faire la cuisine. Ils se reposent aussi de cuisiner par la mкme ocasion.

Un de mes plats favori est le saumon fumй avec des pommes de terre. Et habituellement j'aime boire du coca ( i dont know what elderflower mean so i didnt translate this part sorry ).
Je dйteste mangй du boeuf, je dйteste le goыt.

Ma mиre prйpare un plat spйcial, de la soupe avec des nouilles a l'interieur d'une corbeille faite de pain (im not sure about this sentence lol)

Je fais trиs attention a la faзon dont je suis. Je ne veux pas paraitre gros mais je ne veux pas non plus кtre trop mince. J'essaye de restй comme je suis en mangeant sainement et en fesant de l'exercice dиs que je le peux.

J'ai un aveux a faire, je pense que je n'aide pas beaucoup а la maison. Je pense que je pourrais aidй beaucoup plus mais habituellement je veux faire autre chose donc je ne m'occupe pas d'aider pour les tвches mйnagиres.

thats a but wierd.. I would wait for Tihij to clarify this :) ... Because russian beauty - should be Русская Красота, but maybe it could be both.

Русская - russian, by nationality

Российская - is from Russia. Could be another nationality I guess :)

Although "Риссийская Красота" is technically correct, as applicable to "russian", the preffered adjective is "Русская"...*

It is due to the fact that Russia somehow got an association with a more-general historical "Rus" (i.e. Kievskaya Rus), which was the original slavonic nation... (I won't go further in this question, for the explaining theories may seem to be offencive for some ;-) )

Hence although "русский" is technically applicable to all of the nations of slavonic (slavic) descent, it is currently used as pertaining to Russia, and therefore the appropriate translation is Русская Красота


*i.e. russian languge - русский (not российский) язык

!HELP!

hi peoples ! i was wondering if someone could please help me! im going to МОСКВА,РОССЙЯ for a month in early August and i need to learn Russiki! (obviously) since i will be there for a month and i dont want to look like a complete moron than i allready am! lol .. so i first need to learn to read the Cyrillic Alphabet and i have tried but it just doesn't make since to me ... so someone please help me learn the Alphabet and some basic things i would need to say in Russiki ! thanks so much !

You'll have to cram your brain to do that, but it's doable. Go to a bookstore and purchase those Learn Russian in Your Car cds that cost about 40$. My French teacher survived Russia with those apparrently.

All you actually need to know how to say when travelling to an otherwise industrialised/semi-industrialised country like Russia. (Hmm..it's a superpower, why would it not be industrialised?!) is this...

Honestyly (I mean no offence), the alphabet is the easiest part in Russian. Make notecards out of it. Your first words should be directions, stuff you'll find in the metro and such and such.

I'm a little sceptical because it sounds so similar to something that someone would write for coursework which is assessed in an examination way and counts towards a GCSE. No offence intended of course! Just think if its used like that it is wrong :)[/quote]
